Johanna (she/her) is a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor who incorporates creativity and play into her approach. She works with Finding Wellbeing Art Therapy & Counselling at the Yellow Gum Art Therapy Studio on Saturdays fortnightly.
Johanna works with children, teens and adults and is trained in EMDR, DBT, ACT and other approaches helpful for those with histories of trauma.
Johanna has a special interest in working with teenagers and young people. Johanna has experience working in a high school wellbeing team, headspace and at a high school in Japan. She has also worked in a community-based setting as a mental health practitioner, supporting adults with their psychosocial recovery goals.
Johanna provides a warm and inclusive therapeutic space, grounded in a strengths-based, trauma-informed and person-centred approach that honours each person’s unique experiences, values, and goals. She likes to incorporate creativity into her counselling sessions, by encouraging the use of art and play.

Johanna enjoys working with people of all backgrounds with a wide range of concerns. She has a particular interest and skillset supporting with those who have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma, body image concerns and grief and loss.
In her spare time, Johanna enjoys walking her Labrador Bella, reading, playing netball and watching AFL.
