Supervision for Therapists
Supervision with Alana Stewart, AThR
About me as a Supervisor: I offer professional supervision that is supportive, reflective, and aimed at helping you build your knowledge and confidence in the valuable work you do.
With over 11 years of experience collectively in the disability and community service fields—including past professional experience in disability support, mental health, youth out-of-home care, working as an Art Therapist in private practice as a registered NDIS provider—I draw on these rich experiences to deepen my understanding of systemic issues and the challenges we face as Art Therapy and Counselling professionals in supporting diverse populations.
In addition to being a Registered Art Therapist and PACFA Clinical Member, I have been a registered NDIS provider since 2019 (Therapy Supports), with knowledge and experience in understanding the needs of those with disability and trauma, report writing, and collaborating within multidisciplinary NDIS teams. I also work full-time with my certified therapy dog and have a strong interest in nature-based therapy approaches. I am a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Institute of Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance. Additionally, I facilitate the Nature Based Art Therapy Australia Facebook group and it's annual online gatherings, an interest group dedicated to encouraging the use of nature-based approaches within the Art Therapy and broader creative practitioner community.
