Beth Downing (she/her) is a Registered Art Therapist and team member of Finding Wellbeing Art Therapy & Counselling. She will be providing individual Art Therapy on Saturdays at Yellow Gum Art Therapy Studio.
Beth's approach is relational and trauma-informed, guided by her professional and personal experience. She is passionate about supporting children with Art Therapy who may have needs related to trauma, relational and family concerns, grief and loss, neurodivergence and complex mental health.
Prior to becoming an Art Therapist, Beth worked in roles where she was directly caring for and supporting children. She has worked as a nanny caring for many neurodivergent children, also as a classroom assistant facilitating art groups. During her Masters of Art Therapy training she worked as an Art Therapist in a primary school and in acute inpatient mental health with adolescents. As well as being a masters trained therapist, Beth has a background in fine arts studying at a tertiary level.

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Victorian College of the Arts)
Masters of Art Therapy (La Trobe University)
